The historic center of Newport provides an opportunity to see the city's oldest buildings, including Trinity Church and the Colonial House. The Naval Base and Naval War College of Newport will tell you about the city's maritime glory.

Newport is also home to the oldest synagogue in the USA, Touro Synagogue.
